I am Thomas Bil, a photographer based in the Netherlands. I am working almost exclusively with natural light and minimal intervention. Much of the work emerges from extended time in the field, where waiting becomes part of the process.

My work explores stillness, atmosphere, and presence through quiet moments in nature. Rather than pursuing spectacle, I am drawn to subtle alignments of light, landscape, and animal behaviour—images shaped by patience, observation, and restraint.

Alongside photography, I have spent more than a decade working as a lawyer in the Netherlands. Photography offers a counterbalance: a slower and more contemplative way of seeing.

The photographs presented here are available as fine art prints, selected for their ability to hold attention over time and bring a quiet sense of atmosphere into a space.
